D’Erica Davis
Licensed Professional Counselor
I work with emerging young adults, and those processing how to actually adult with the age group 16-30. I feel that my purpose has always been to advocate for those that haven’t quite found their voice yet, as well as advocating for those that may have lost their voice somewhere down the line in their lives. I use CBT/REBT techniques to challenge my clients to dig deep into their inner thoughts, and in return this allows them to slowly begin to change those toxic thinking patterns. Continuously helping others realize that regardless of their struggles, life is still just beginning for you!
As stated above, I offer Cognitive behavior therapy, Rational Emotive Behavior therapy, as well as Play therapy. Emerging Adults and those learning how to process their adult decisions. Ages 16-30

Megan Boyd
Licensed Professional Counselor
Megan has 14 years of experience working with children and adolescents as a school counselor. She earned her Bachelors of Education from Texas A&M in 2005 and her Masters of Counseling in 2009 and is currently on the journey of obtaining her full LPC license. She has a true passion for helping others feel comfortable in their own skin and creating a safe space in which they are able to truly dive in and explore areas that are causing stress or difficulty. She is ready to meet all clients where they are at to walk beside them every step of the way to help develop goals, coping strategies and ability to achieve happier, more fulfilling lives. Operating from a combination of person centered and CBT therapy, she is eager to work with youth, adolescents, adults and couples. In her free time she can be found attending one of her daughter’s many sporting events or reading a good book!
Amy Nickerson
Licensed Clinical Social Worker
Amy Nickerson, LCSW is a psychotherapist specializing in children, adolescents, and adults of all ages. She holds a graduate degree from Our Lady of the Lake University with specialization in Hispanic/Latinx children and families. Amy Nickerson has served in various roles serving the community including community mental health first response, psychiatric facility therapist, community outpatient therapy, as well as medical social work.
Traci Young-Brown
Licensed Master Social Worker, Individual and Family Therapist
Traci Brown is a behavioral health therapist contracting with Positive Changes Counseling and Consulting, PLLC. With the increasing need for mental health support services, she was moved to seek an opportunity that would allow her to offer therapeutic support to youth and families in need. She provides individual, family, and group counseling services to address a myriad of issues that adversely affect those experiencing them. Traci brings to the practice her vast experience in cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) and her ability to build on existing family strengths to affect change.
Traci earned her Bachelor of Science degree in Psychology from Texas A&M, College Station, and a master’s degree from the University of Texas at Arlington in Social Work. She is currently receiving social work supervision hours with a clinical supervisor as she aspires to obtain additional licensing credentials. When she is not working, or volunteering, Traci enjoys spending time with her husband, her three children and all the other special people in her life.
Tammi Abney
Licensed Professional Counselor Associate
